Responsible for researching and developing innovative ideas, products, and processes. This role focuses on improving the performance and design of existing products while overseeing the production and packaging of prototype units.

Responsible for researching and developing innovative ideas, products, and processes. This role focuses on improving the performance and design of existing products while overseeing the production and packaging of prototype units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, model, and test product prototypes
- Conduct research and develop detailed design proposals
- Establish and define design briefs
- Create product concepts along with performance and production criteria
- Identify and select appropriate materials for manufacturing
- Produce final hand drawings and technical specifications
- Develop and maintain parts lists
- Calculate and document production costs
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD), including SolidWorks, to develop concepts
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes for steel fabricated components
- Experience with warehouse inventory systems (e.g., BAAN, SAP, Global Shop)
- Proficiency in SolidWorks
- Understanding of both US customary and metric measurement systems
