PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a talented and driven Design Engineer to contribute to cutting-edge automotive programsboth pinnacle andmercialin a high-impact role based in Santa Clarita, CA. From 3D modeling toponent design, your work will shape the future of vehicle technology and innovation.
What You'll Do:
In this role, you'll be immersed in a wide range of design activities that support the full development cycle of automotiveponents and systems, including test cell and electrification projects.
Your responsibilities include:
Design and modeling of automotiveponents (3D & 2D) using CAD software (CATIA V6 preferred)
Support design and drawing activities for both prototype and production parts
Participate in concept design, preliminary research, and information gathering
Executeponent and assembly modeling, evaluation, and analysis
Prepare and release detailed engineering drawings
Coordinate with manufacturing and quality teams
Track progress through scheduling and reporting tools
Communicate effectively with engineering and cross-functional teams
mechanical and cost calculation processes and material standards
You will work with minimal supervision and must be proactive,anized, and adaptable.
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
2-3 years of experience in the automotive industry
Strong background in 2D3D software modeling (preferably CATIA V6)
Experience in preliminary design, concept development, and detail design
Familiarity with raw material codes and industry standard codes
Strong understanding of manufacturing and quality processes
Excellent time management andmunication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills
Preferred:
Experience with electrification or test cell design
Project management experience in automotive engineering environments

Pay Details: $38.00 to $48.00 per hour
