Mechanical Design Engineer - Industrial Refrigeration Systems
Cincinnati, OH or Fort Wayne, IN
Full-time | On-site | Design-Build Engineering
We're recruiting on behalf of a growing industrial design-build client with offices in Cincinnati, OH and Fort Wayne, IN . This Full time opportunity is ideal for a Mechanical Design Engineer experienced in refrigeration system design, hydronic piping, and technical project estimating. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Design mechanical systems (CO2, ammonia, hydronic piping, HVAC) for industrial facilities
Meet with clients to define project needs and propose tailored design solutions
Develop cost estimates, quotes, and technical presentations
Evaluate equipment and vendor options for optimal system performance
Lead project planning efforts and coordinate documentation
Mentor junior team members and support internal process improvement
What You Bring:
Mechanical Engineering degree preferred; or 10+ years of relevant industry experience
Strong background in industrial refrigeration and mechanical system components
Experience with quoting, estimating, and project management tools (eg, Microsoft Project)
Knowledge of OSHA/EPA safety and compliance standards
Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
