Mechanical DesignEngineer, Lebanon, TN. Support new power wheelchair product development bycoordinating work across functional teams to define the product designrequirements and ensure these requirements are satisfied; develop and maketooling, test fixtures/equipment and prototypes for product development; managedevelopment projects by providing project planning. Must possess mastersdegree in mechanical engineering or biomedical engineering plus 5 yearsprogressively responsible work experience as an engineer in mechanical productdesign and new product development; Finite Element Analysis (FEA), CAD(SolidWorks/CATIA), GD&T, and Tolerance Stack-Up Analysis; DFMEA, Design ofexperiments, and DFM principles; manufacturing processes, including sheet metalfabrication, machining, injection molding, and casting; stage-gate productdevelopment process; and collaborating with overseas suppliers to resolvetechnical issues related to tooling, ensuring quality, efficiency, and seamlessproduction processes.
