Key Responsibilities
R D Mechanical Engineer will be involved in designing and developing new products or improving existing ones through prototyping, testing, and simulations. This role involves exploring new technologies and processes to stay competitive and solve complex engineering problems.
Additional responsibilities include creating and testing mechanical systems and components, conducting feasibility studies, using CAD software for detailed designs, and troubleshooting issues. They also prepare comprehensive documentation, analyze market trends and consumer needs.

Essential Skills
Key skills include a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials science, and simulation software. Proficiency in CAD software is crucial, as are analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication and collaboration are necessary for teamwork. Experience with prototyping and testing is also important. Leadership skills may be needed for guiding teams, and strong documentation skills are essential. An understanding of standard manufacturing processes related to metal forming, plastic molding, and component assembly.
Conduct research to explore new technologies and methodologies, identify opportunities for innovation and come up with new concepts, and develop new products or improve existing ones.
Design mechanical systems, components, and assemblies, utilizing CAD software for 2D and 3D modeling. They also develop technical specifications, prototypes, and documentation to support product development.
Create prototypes and conduct testing to evaluate the performance, reliability, and safety of their designs.
Identify and troubleshoot issues in mechanical designs, proposing effective solutions and ensuring products meet performance and safety standards.
Work closely with other teams, including design, manufacturing, and marketing, to ensure the practical application of new innovations and facilitate the transition of designs into production.
They prepare comprehensive engineering documentation, including design specifications, reports, and test results, to support product development and release.
Pay Range: $65000 - $75000
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
Work Requirements:
This role is considered an on-site position located in Houston, TX
You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
