Advanced Construction Robotics, Inc. of Allison Park, PA has an opening for a full-time Manufacturing Quality Control Technician to assist the engineering team fabricate and test the mechanical, electrical, and software systems for the existing and future fleet of autonomous robot construction machines. The candidate will be expected to contribute to the mechanical design process as well as review, assemble, and test completed designs. The candidate will also be responsible for coordinating with the engineering and assembly teams to execute the timely fabrication and assembly of new robot builds. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MANUFACTURING QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN

In this role, you assist the production team by testing new components and assemblies during the fabrication of new products for the company. You spend some of your time reviewing tests, fabricating test setups, and performing factory acceptance testing on completed systems. You will also document procedures, assist with system troubleshooting, and record discrepancies found. You will support manufacturing, acting as a technical expert for best practices and methods. At times, you will also assist in inspecting parts and materials as they are received for compliance before acceptance. QUALIFICATIONS FOR MANUFACTURING QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN

  • Certificate, Associate, or Bachelor from a technical or trade program

  • 5+ years of experience in equivalent role

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel

  • Responsibilities:

  • Travel to our local test facility as needed to build operational familiarity with our products

  • Reviewing inspection procedures for errors, inconsistencies, and completeness

  • Execute test procedures, working with stakeholders to maintain quality standards

  • Inspecting parts and materials for defects and deviations as they arrive when needed

  • Understanding and applying quality assurance standards, methodologies, and regulations as they relate to our products

  • Required Skills:

  • Accurate reporting, tracking, and initial triage of issues found during testing

  • Ability to consistently execute test procedures on manufactured assemblies

  • Reading and understanding wiring diagrams, assembly procedures, and technical drawings

  • Maintaining detailed records of inspections, identifying issues, and communicating findings to relevant teams

  • Preferred/Optional Skills:

  • Atlassian Jira/Confluence, formal testing tools such as X-Ray and Test Rail

  • Experience working in ISO 9000 certified environments

  • Experience working with inventory dock inspection processes for acceptance or rejection

  • Experience working with engineering staff during the development of test procedures

  • US work authorization, no visa sponsorship of any kind is available

This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work in an equipment testing facility with various safety hazards which are potentially life-threatening to the employee and Team Members without proper safety precautions. This position may require you to be around heavy equipment and under constantly changing circumstances. Team Members will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies due to these safety risks.
