Job Description We are looking for a dedicated Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join an automotive OEM within the Assembly department. The primary focus of this role is to assist and support the systems group in preparing the new BEV assembly line at the Marysville Auto Plant. This includes setting up new tools and stations, and supporting new model events. Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize Mass Production DC tools through torque data analysis, equipment management, and countermeasure activities for daily torque issues.
- Communicate and implement countermeasures for daily production issues related to torque and lot control.
- Analyze torque/angle data to understand process capability and review torque/part-related drawings to drive countermeasure activities.
- Maintain an activity tracking database daily, providing communication between shifts on important tool-related issues.
- Lead department efforts regarding calibration requirements, maintaining and monitoring all DC tool calibration and schedules.
- Lead assigned business plan projects such as installation, training, debugging, and follow-up to achieve continuous improvement of SQCDM.
- Investigate new technologies and collaborate with suppliers to find innovative tool solutions that will improve the cost of ownership.
- Experience in software configuration and data analytics.
- Proficiency in MySQL and SQL preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience in quality assurance, quality engineering, and quality management systems.
- Networking experience is beneficial.
- Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
