BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Design Engineer III for an Onsite Role.

Position Title: Design Engineer III

Location: Redmons, WA

Anticipated Start Date: Immediate

Expected Duration: 12+ Months

Job Type: Contract - [FULL TIME (40 Hours a week)]

Pay Range: $65.45/hr on W2 - 70.75/hr on W2

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Role Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

Responsibilities

* Interface with industry to research and develop proprietary and innovative hardware styles, construction details, material combinations, new production techniques, etc.?

* Assist in the continual gathering and sharing of trends in consumer electronics, eyewear and fashion markets?

* Create fully resolved CMF strategy for presentation to team members, partners and manufactures.?

* Assist in the resolution of design, prototyping and manufacturing issues during the development phase;

* Create fully resolved solutions to communicate and resolve manufacturing and prototyping challenges?

* Manage and maintain CMF product specifications for products in development from concept to production

Job Specifications:

* Bachelors of Industrial Design from an accredited college or university, or relevant professional experience required

* 5+ years experience working as a CMF Designer/Developer

* Proficiency in communicating design vision, and concepts using 2D color renderings and 2D CAD. 3D -CAD and visualization experience is a plus

* Excellent organization skills, detail oriented, and has the ability to multitask across different projects and categories

* Working knowledge of plastic injection molding, metal fabrication techniques, resin development, coating technologies, plastics decoration processes, fabrics and textiles

* Occasional domestic and international travel is a requirement for this position.
