Essential Functions and Duties:

Manage assigned engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with technical and business objectives

Define and document project requirements to support new product and process development, including technical investigations and problem resolution

Prepare detailed design specifications, engineering analyses, and technical recommendations for management review and decision-making

Design mechanical components and systems for a variety of prototype, pre-commercial, and commercial products within an advanced product development environment

Ensure product designs meet quality, performance, and manufacturability standards for demanding industrial applications

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Master's preferred, from an ABET-accredited program

Minimum of 10 years of mechanical design experience

Proven technical leadership in mechanical design, with a strong preference for experience in designing products for manufacturability

Demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception through completion, both independently and as a collaborative team member

Extensive experience in mechanical and machine design, including product development, prototyping, and design for manufacturing

Proficient in CAD and CAE tools, with strong SolidWorks skills and Finite Element Analysis experience (ANSYS preferred)

Capable of preparing and completing product designs with detailed technical documentation such as layouts and specifications

Strong work ethic, enthusiasm for innovation, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment
