As part of our Camera Technologies group, youll help design the innovative technology that allows each generation of Apple products to produce photos even more incredible than the last. Youll design and develop groundbreaking ideas for everything involved in our camera systems, from sensor to lens. Youll collaborate with teams across Apple to research, design, develop, test, and qualify camera hardware for Apple products. Together, well craft a magical photography experience that redefines what millions of customers can expect from their cameras.The Camera Hardware Engineering group is responsible for all research, design, development, test, and qualification of camera hardware for Apple products. We are searching for an extraordinary Hardware Engineer to take ownership in the development of very high-performance compact camera modules. We are seeking an engineer to take leadership of camera hardware projects in engagements with product and technology teams.

Description

Description - Design camera module structures in CAD. - Design injection molded, sheet metal, PCB, and other component parts.- Author detailed 2D manufacturing and inspection drawings. - Perform rigorous tolerance analysis of module designs and component parts. - Interface with component part and camera manufacturing partners on design manufacturability and resolution of mechanical issues. - Author clear documentation on mechanical inspection and test requirements. - Direct FEA engineers on evaluation of camera designs.

Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
