Mechanical System Design Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical System Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of industrial laundry equipment, with a focus on material handling systems. This role involves interpreting customer requirements and transforming them into detailed project and product specifications while collaborating with a cross-functional team of engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Design industrial laundry equipment with a focus on material handling systems.
  • Interpret customer requirements and translate them into project and product specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, and controls engineers for a concurrent design approach.
  • Act as a liaison to Purchasing, Production, Sales, and Product Support departments by providing technical support.
  • Participate in lab testing and field trials.
  • Travel up to 5% of the time for site surveys.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and CAD design.
  • Experience in designing rail, conveyor, and material handling systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in designing industrial equipment.
  • Experience with 3D modeling software such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
  • Pneumatic and hydraulic system design experience.
  • Understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
