Job Description & Skill Requirement
Mechanical Designer with 5-15 years of experience of 2D AutoCAD drafting and Aveva 3D modelling experience of Piping and Mechanical Drawings in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Midstream facilities, in compliance with codes and standards & general specifications
A. Aveva 3D modelling and AutoCAD 2D Design Experience for Piping and Mechanical Drawings: Piping Isometrics, Plot Plans, Equipment Layout, General Arrangement Drawings,
B. Experienced in iIl & Gas upstream, midstream or downstream facilities, or petrochemical facilities
C. Ability to go to field for collect site information and support field work activities.
D. Act as the communication focal point for appropriate information/data between the vendor, client, and other disciplines
E. Interface and coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines to meet project design requirements and effectively manage the internal flow of data and design changes.
F. Communicate with site project engineer, site document controller, operations and LTTS team for project requirements
F. Interface with LTTS design team in India to coordinate about developing As-Built drawings
G. Experienced into Piping Codes, API and ASME standards and local standards in Texas
H. Submit updated drawings for review through pre-defined document management workflow
I. Prepare and review Mechanical engineering discipline deliverables.
J. Quality Review and Validation of final deliverables before submission to client.
K. Responsible for compliance with company and site safety policies.
Minimum proficiencies and qualifications:
Diploma in Mechanical is required.
5-15 years of professional experience performing Detail drafting of Static equipment like Pressure vessel, S&T Heat exchanger, Columns, Reactors, Storage tanks, Air Cooled Heat Exchangers, etc.
Strong working knowledge of design codes including ASME Section VIII, Div. 1, TEMA and other API standards. Experience with European codes would be beneficial.
Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD software and 3D modelling.
