Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Weld Engineer to join their team. As a Weld Engineer, you will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering department supporting the production team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a self-motivated attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Weld Engineer

Location: Chandler, AZ

Pay Range: $110,000 and above

What's the Job?

  • Provide technical expertise in welding processes to Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality.
  • Support the production team in the fabrication assembly, focusing on weld processes, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering to drive design corrections and improvements based on production feedback.
  • Inspect welded joints to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications.
  • Develop and oversee certification testing for qualification of welders to national codes and customer requirements.

What's Needed?

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering and 5+ years of experience as a Weld Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Certified Weld Inspector (CWI).
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of welding design, processes, and best practices.
