Our client, a leader in the automotive technology sector, is seeking a Test Engineer to join their team. As a Test Engineer, you will be part of the Component and Sub System Hardware Validation team supporting the development of cutting-edge autonomous mobility solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: High Voltage Battery Test Engineer
Location: Ada, MI (Remote)
Pay Range: $60-$65 per hour
What's the Job?
- Execute the Design Validation Plan and Reports (DVP&Rs) to validate the high voltage battery for mechanical, environmental, performance, compliance, and abuse testing.
- Attend weekly cross-functional DVP meetings and provide testing progress updates to stakeholders.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for DVP&Rs, Test Procedures, RFQs, and Test Reports.
- Travel to test facilities to review test setups and ensure flawless execution of validation tests.
- Analyze test data to create graphs, charts, and tables, providing clear and concise reporting of test results.
What's Needed?
- BS or MS in mechanical engineering or a related relevant field.
- 3+ years of high voltage battery test or validation experience.
- Familiarity with high voltage battery test standards such as UN 38.3, UL2580, SAE J2464, and others.
- Experience with DFMEAs and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA and Kanban methodology.
