Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all production activities to ensure efficient workflow, optimized machine utilization, and on-time delivery of products. This role requires strong attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure production schedules align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and equipment capacity.
  • Schedule and manage operations across key Salvagnini equipment, including:
    • P4 Panel Bender
    • S4 Punch
    • Salvagnini Laser
    • Salvagnini Press Brakes
  • Collaborate with procurement, inventory, logistics, and production teams to ensure material availability and optimal resource allocation.
  • Monitor work orders and production progress; adjust schedules as needed for changes, delays, or rush orders.
  • Utilize ERP and scheduling software to maintain accurate production planning data.
  • Communicate schedules and updates clearly across departments to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Analyze production data and generate reports to track performance, efficiency, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead efforts to resolve scheduling conflicts or production bottlenecks quickly and effectively.
  • Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and last-minute changes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to planning process optimization.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in production scheduling, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or equivalent).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills , with the ability to coordinate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to multitask and shift priorities in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and supply chain principles is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
  • Hands-on experience scheduling Salvagnini machinery.
  • Familiarity with Salvagnini STREAM software is highly desirable.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience generating operational reports.
  • Experience with ISO standards and quality systems.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control and demand forecasting.
