Responsibilities:
- As the Configuration Control Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the Configuration Management, Design Checking, Technical Publications, and Configuration Control teams within the aviation and defense sectors. Your primary responsibilities will include developing, implementing, and maintaining robust configuration management processes and policies to ensure the accuracy and traceability of product designs and changes throughout their lifecycle. You will manage the review and verification of engineering designs, drawings, and specifications, ensuring they meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will oversee the creation and maintenance of detailed and compliant technical publications, including manuals and instructions for both design and fielded products. Your role will also involve managing the configuration control process, ensuring all changes to product designs and configurations are properly documented, approved, and communicated to all relevant stakeholders. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to support high-stakes aviation and defense projects, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and quality. Your ability to lead and mentor your team, coupled with your expertise in configuration management, will be essential in driving the success of our business area.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelors of Science degree in a related discipline (Engineering, Aerospace, Defense Systems, or a related field).
- Typically, 8+ years of progressive engineering services experience, which includes 4+ years of management experience.
- Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in configuration management or a related role within the aviation and defense industry.
- Strong knowledge of configuration management standards and practices (e.g., ISO 10007, MIL-STD-973, MIL-HDBK-61, EIA-649).
- Proficiency in using configuration management tools and software.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Previous management experience; exposure to recruiting employees; assigning, directing, and evaluating their work; and overseeing the development and maintenance of staff competence
- Experience with identifying and coordinating resources to ensure the required tools, processes, and training are available/effective and programs are staffed and supported to achieve success
- Understanding of how to prepare project schedules, budgets, bids, and estimates for proposed program work packages
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
- Certification in Configuration Management (e.g., CMII, CMPIC).
- Experience with technical writing and documentation in the aviation and defense sectors.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards specific to aviation and defense
industries.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $143,487.14 - $197,294.82. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
