This position will be stationed at our headquarters in Raleigh/Durham, NC.POSITION SUMMARY:In this position, you will be joining the AD Fab Engineering Group with focus on production of RF products. This position will assist in the process monitoring, data analysis and yield enhancement aspects of Cree’s RF product manufacturing.SHIFT: 1st Shift + One Weekend Day (Sunday-Thursday)DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• General understanding of the process flow for inspection, monitoring and disposition of RF product lots.• Performing process experiments for yield improvements.• Operation of electronic test equipment and utilization of computer software tools for data analysis.• Documenting manufacturing process flows, requiring clear written and verbal communication skills.• Performing independently on routine assignments. Work directly with product development team to ramp new products and processes into production. Interface with component suppliers to evaluate second source components and resolve technical issues that may arise in manufacturing. Indentify, initiate and implement continuous improvement solutions for process optimization, cost reduction, and yield enhancements across product lines in production. Provide training and support to contract manufacturing personnel to improve overall capabilities and knowledge. Work across company functional organizations to ensure project success. Minimum Requirements:BS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Computer Engineering. 4-6 years of experience with electronics product development and/or manufacturing. Preferred Qualifications:MS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Computer Engineering. 7-10 years of experience with product development and/or manufacturing. Demonstrated knowledge of LED components, LED lighting systems, and LED testing is preferable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
