Our facility located on Plano, TX is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a new opening for a Sr. Process Engineer for NPI.  The skills required include PCBA, Integration Assembly, Test (AOI, XRAY, ICT, Func and Sys Level) and Packaging.  The Sr. NPI Process Engineer will: Develop manufacturing techniques and process capabilities utilizing a Functional Specification from design engineering or the customer. Specify new equipment based on Assembly requirements and establish operating equipment specifications for production. Provide upfront and in-process support to SMT and Assembly operations. Develop and establish the initial programs and software interface required for process related equipment as well as maintenance. Develop process documentation from Functional Specification thru the prototype process into production ready documents. Interface with the customer as an extension of the design team to provide initial key product feedback to the customer on designs.  This will be done via DFM, DFA, DFx and DFT processes. Prepare justification, purchase and implement capital equipment and tooling for Prototype and production. Implement safety, productivity and yield improvements. Improve manufacturing techniques and cycle times to meet the customer requirements in a production environment. Provide the required process and equipment training for production as prototype products transfer to pre-production and production builds. Job Requirements:Ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering coupled with 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment.  Experience with SPC and Lean Manufacturing implementation with hands-on experience with automated robots in the PCBA operations.  Excellent verbal/written communications, interpersonal and customer-oriented skills.  Six Sigma methodology a plus.  Previous exposure to Lean Manufacturing techniques and tools a plus.  Production setup and process flow implementation experience.  Basic software skills.  Candidate needs to have PCBA background and experience for this position.  Why work for Flextronics?
