Major international Tier One supplier has an opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support their cnc machining area. Most of their machine tools are multi axis lathes. They have cnc machining centers, cnc grinding equipment, however, the focus is on turning. This position requires 5 plus years of processing and programming high production turning equipment. Experience using 3-D modeling software such as Solidworks and cam software to generate code is strongly preferred. Interested candidates will need cutting tool applications, speeds and feeds, fixturing, design skills, process development, product launch and project management. Experience debugging set ups, diagnosing machine tool issues and improving processes is a must. Knowledge of APQP requirements and experience documenting PFMEA, control plans, flow diagrams and work instructions is also required. Past experience preparing or assisting on the development of PPAP is a plus. This is a hands on position in a non union shop. Our client will consider non degreed candidates, however, they will require lathe, cam software, solid modeling programming, tooling and APQP experience. Degreed candidates with an AS or BS in engineering are preferred. This is a large corporation with many possible growth opportunities for the right candidate.
