ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Analyzes research data and proposed product and/or process specifications to determine feasibility of product and process proposals.

• Uses CAD software and equipment to create and modify mechanical drawings and perform engineering and design tasks.
• Develops new and improved tooling for manufacturing.
• Interface with contract manufacturers and other Miltex facilities for engineering design changes.
• Manages the development and documentation of product and manufacturing specifications for new and existing products (includes Bills of Material & Bills of Operation).
• Manages engineering design change processes and associated documents and drawings.

Provide leadership and technical support to various manufacturing disciplines such as Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, Final Test, and Manufacturing Computer Coordinators. Provide justification of capital equipment, such as production equipment, storage and material handling equipment, test equipment, vendor tooling, etc. Develop documented assembly and test procedures and identify methods and process improvements. Keep production current on the latest technical industry advances in assembly and process innovations. Develop manufacturing tests to assure reliability of computer software and hardware. Design tooling and fixtures, as necessary to optimize assembly efficiencies. Responsible for assuring that Engineering Change Notice (ECN) system dispositions are effectively implemented, both in house and in the field. Work closely with the materials manager, plant manager, and the facilities manager to assure effective material storage and flow throughout the manufacturing/assembly operations. Minimum Requirements
Bachelors Degree in an Engineering discipline required. Good working knowledge of manufacturing engineering and quality assurance disciplines. 7-10 years related work experience in an electromechanical assembly environment.
