Major duties and responsibilities include: The Industrial Engineer will serve as a member of the New England Healthcare Engineering Partnership (NEHCEP) with an organizational goal to serve the New England VISN 1 region and Veterans Health Administration (VHA) more broadly through application, education, development and spread of operational systems engineering and related analytic process improvement and modeling methods.  The incumbent will provide oversight and leadership for the implementation, spread and maintenance of systems redesign processes and techniques related to the work of the NEHCEP which may include review of a variety of macro and micro systems within outpatient clinics, inpatient clinical services, business and administrative services and leadership/management services.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: ·         Launching and supporting system redesign teams ·         Coaching and training system redesign teams ·         Providing expertise for consultations calls ·         Visits and monitors performance with regards to national VERC leadership expectations ·         Prepares aggregate reports and analysis of performance for healthcare system, network and VHA ·         Facilitate and coordinate the development of action plans for outlier performance in systems redesign areas ·         Applies Industrial Engineering methodologies such as advance data analysis, modeling and simulation and lean and six-sigma to systems redesign initiatives ·         Identify system inefficiencies, veteran satisfaction or quality of care issues And other duties as assigned  ***RELOCATION EXPENSES AND/OR INCENTIVES ARE NOT AUTHORIZED***
