Senior Industrial Engineer, Pharmaceutical Lean Manufacturing - US MidwestThis is a stellar opportunity within a thriving, growing and stable Midwest solid dosage pharmaceutical manufacturing facility!  You will be responsible for improving manufacturing and packaging of pharmaceuticals within a high volume processing and packaging environment by implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and SPC techniques.  Your hands on responsibilities will include:* Leading the application of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to improve pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.* Identifying and prioritizing productivity improvement projects.* Utilizing Statistical Process Control (SPC), lean principles, and cycle time reduction techniques to analyze problems and find trends.* Trending packaging line performance and equipment data to identify and prioritize reliability improvements, projects and initiatives.* Utilizing modern TPM, Total Quality Management, Six Sigma methodologies, and Lean Manufacturing techniques.* Supporting capital projects and process improvements involving high volume packaging systems to improve and integrate packaging technologies and solutions.* Ensuring the highest standard of FDA cGMP and GMP documentation activities.Preferred Candidate Background and Expertise:* BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Statistics, Math or related field.* Strong hands-on knowledge and familiarity with high speed pharmaceutical or food processing packaging equipment and machinery including multiple blister and bottle packaging for tablets and capsules.* Over 5-7 years of Pharmaceutical or Food Packaging experience.* Process Improvement experience implementing TPM, RCM, Total Quality Management, Six Sigma methodologies, and Lean Manufacturing techniques including Process Mapping, CTQ, Root Cause Analysis, Control Charts and Statistical Process Control (SPC). In working with our customer, we deliver intelligent logistics solutions for both inbound material flow requirements and product testing. syncreon has a current need for an Industrial Engineer that will support our operation.  This position is responsible for the coordination of quality processes and supporting operations in a back-up supervisor capacity. This position will perform the following functions: Plans and coordinates work, trains, motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of hourly team members; ensures their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations.  Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing cycle times of testing stations.   Improves work flow by studying process flowcharts; recommending modifications in standard work and work instructions. Respond to and review all customer concerns for the quality department   Maintains an equipment structure and level to accomplish the tasks in a safe, effective manner.  Provides appropriate equipment to ensure the safe transport and storage of all materials.  Liaise with appropriate customer personnel and with Syncreon staff to ensure understanding of the reported concerns and jointly apportion responsibility to appropriate parties.  Continually strive for continuous improvement, ensuring all work carried out within the group conforms to established build and quality practices  Provide pro-active response to low level customer concerns to ensure they do not become high level concerns, including being champion and/or member of problem-solving team.  Coordination of quality processes and reports – suspect material, damage material etc.  Audit to ensure compliance to the documented Processes, Policies, Work Instructions.  Assist in maintaining Quality System, i.e. Procedures, Records, Standard Work, etc.  Performs other related duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS:MUST have a Bachelors Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering. (prefer new grad)  At least 1 year of experience from a Co-op or full-time work study program  Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office products  Knowledge with DCX systems and Syncreon processes and procedures  Above average interpersonal, organizational and communication skills - written and oral to deal with a wide range of customers-both internal and external  Strong analytical skills and technical savvy.
