Job Title: Industrial Engineer Company: General Dynamics C4 Systems Location: Phoenix, AZ Description: Responsible to identify, assess and present solutions for business driven tenant space needs required for a 1.6 million square foot Headquarters building and several remote locations. Foster and facilitate effective working relationships with C4 business units, sister companies, as well as with customers and partners. Responsible to oversee implementation of efficient, cost effective projects in the support of tenant/business unit space needs. Translate space needs into concise and effective project scope of work, monitor and anticipate corporate business cycles to maximize use of existing space and building assets. In addition to primary job responsibilities candidate will also participate in real estate activities for the site, conduct site master planning activities & assignments, manage interior building and space standards and maintain long range space plans. Interpret and understand types of leases, contracts and building types. Collaborate and integrate Space Planning activities and assignments with internal Facilities teams such as Engineering & Construction, Operations & Maintenance and Finance to foster team building. Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, communication, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills. Candidate must possess the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Experienced in developing and maintaining both integrated and individual business space plans. Must have experience in influencing and managing space needs, negotiations, recommendations and decisions directly associated with multi tenant work environments. Understand, interpret and execute real estate master plans. Facilities Management and defense industry experience preferable. A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required. In addition, 6 years directly related experience is preferred. Professional registration is desired.
