Job Title: Industrial Designer - 8221 Company: Altair Engineering, Inc. - HQ Location: Fort Wayne, IN Description: TitleIndustrial Designer - 8221 Type of Position:Contract Location:Fort Wayne, IN Position Description:--Responsible for the creation and maintenance of Industrial Design project plans.--Design research and investigation--Generates new product design concepts, provides design development and refinement.--Communicates through design sketching, models, renderings, layouts, specifications and presentations.--Contributes, documents and delivers to the design requirements.--Leads and directs the Modeling Staff to develop and deliver the physical and/or digital model that describes the styling theme.--Patent documentation and application activities.--Evaluates designs and parts for IDEAL, MSE, AAR and PPAP approvals.--Provides design leadership and decision making when working with internal, OE, and supplier resources.--Prepare requests for quote and purchasing requisitions. Position Requirements:-- 5 years experience as a practicing Industrial Designer.--BA, BS or BFA in Industrial Design from an IDSA accredited program.
