In this role you will interfaces globally with Design Engineering, Operations and Contractors to ensure timely and effective release of new products by providing input on design for manufacturability and test. May mentor or supervise Test Engineers or Techs. Essential Responsibilities Lead development of test architecture and strategy to optimize time, quality and cost Design and implement hardware and software Test sets Plan and execute release of new products to Manufacturing Support Design Engineering in developing Test Specifications for new and modified products Plan and implement design for test concepts Work with CAD resources to ensure testability is fully incorporated into boards Responsible for entire scope of testing processes: Electrical integrity validation- ICT, JTAG, Flying Probe, etc., Board functional, Code Load, Burn-in, System / Configuration testing Coordinate and develop test methods and procedures for new products Define test processes and assumes a lead role in resolve testing problems Provides training to Operations Staff Stay current on technical advances in Test Engineering and provides cutting edge solutions as appropriate Evaluate, justify, and implement new Test Equipment Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor's degree in engineering or other combination of education and minimum 4 years industry work experience Minimum 7 years industry experience Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work.
