Assists in developing basic tool and equipment requirements. Assists with basic trade studies, creates models, sketches, prototypes and simulations and participates in design reviews. Assists with analyses to determine requirements for tool inspection, test and calibration and preventative maintenance. Supports investigation of design-engineering changes to maintain engineering configuration and initiates action. Gathers information and initiates rework to tools, assists with investigation of basic tool non-conformance conditions, and assists with tool and equipment disposal analysis. Works under close supervision.

Knowledge and experience with various quality and continuous improvement tools (SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, Poke Yoke, Lean, Problem Solving, etc.) ? Ability to read and understand blue prints, specifications, and requirements. ? Knowledge of machining, assembly operations, gaging, SPC, and quality assurance systems (ISO 9001, AS9100). ? Experience in performing Quality Audits. ? Experience using PC and MS Office software ? Experience with Excel and/or Access database programming ? Programming experience for CMM stations ? Gage R&R skills and strong GD&T working knowledge ? Project Management experience and multi-task skills ? Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) preferred. ? Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.) or Process Excellence certification is an asset.
