Job Title: Systems Design Engineering Manager Company: Lockheed Martin Corporation Location: Fort Belvoir, VA Description: The DTRA Integration, Test, and Experimentation Center (DITEC) Technical Lead will serve as key personnel on the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Information Technology and Services Support Contract (ITSS) at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia. Lockheed Martin IS&GS Defense is the prime contractor on this contract, responsible for providing IT services, managing the IT infrastructure, and developing and deploying new applications for the Agency. The DTRA Chief Information Officer (CIO) is the customer for this contract. There are more than 150 LM employees and subcontractors on the contract with significant growth anticipated. DTRA is the U.S. Department of Defense’s official Combat Support Agency for countering weapons of mass destruction. This includes Subject Matter Experts on WMD, and addresses the entire spectrum of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high yield explosive threats. SCC-WMD, the U.S. Strategic Command Center for Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction, synchronizes Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction efforts across the military’s geographic commands and leverages the people, programs and interagency relationships of DTRA at a strategic level. DTRA works with the military services, other elements of the United States government, and countries across the planet on counter-proliferation, nonproliferation and WMD reduction issues with one goal in mind: Making the World Safer. The DITEC Technical Lead performs the design, development, integration and testing of multi-vendor product solutions in support of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). The Tech Lead candidate should have recent Dept of Defense systems architecture and development experience as a senior or technical lead on an Information Technology engineering team. The Tech Lead candidate will design and define system architecture specifications for new or existing complex computer systems. The Tech Lead determines systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and integration to build new technology solutions. The Tech Lead coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total systems. The Tech Lead will identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies then develops and recommends corrective actions. The Tech Lead will provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior level team members. Finally, due the high-level customer interface required, the Tech Lead should have outstanding communication skills including strong customer relations and formal presentation/speaking skills and experience. The DITEC Technical Lead should be knowledgeable on DOD networks and operations, DOD NIPRNET and SIPRNET, IP Networking, Info Assurance, Certification and Accreditation, MS Server and Systems Administration (AD, Exchange, DNS, etc), master scheduling, resource management, and strong customer relations skills. This critical position will report directly to the DTRA ITSS Deputy PM, matrixed to the Task Order 2 Lead and interfaces daily with all other Task Order Leads, the Integration Manager, the Chief Engineer and all equivalent Government Functional Representatives.
