JOB SUMMARY The CAD Designer shall design and prepare complete and accurate working plans, charts, scale drawings, and revisions for complex projects, integrating skilled drafting methods and procedures with the operation and application of computer-aided design (CAD) equipment and software. RESPONSIBILITIES · Design and prepare product CAD models and engineering drawings from observation, measurements, sketches and specifications, utilizing CAD software; review and revise drawings and Bills of Material. · Prepare electronic layouts, charts, detailed scale drawings including materials and equipment requirements using sketches and specifications. · Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed. · Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery using computer-assisted equipment. · Organize and maintain archive files of CAD drawings; assist with organizing and storing electronic engineering drawing files; set and maintain standard for CAD drawing templates to ensure consistency and accuracy within the company. · Provide technical guidance and direction for various departments, including but not limited to Quality and Purchasing, in interpretation and implementation of specifications and requirements in use of CAD files. · Creates layout, product specifications and drawings for outside vendor sourced items; review schematics and answer related questions. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities · Knowledge of computer programs such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel and Word, SmarTeam, SAP, LiveLink · Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics and their applications · Knowledge of technical drawing · Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 desired · Strong oral and written communication skills · Ability to analyze product designs and translate into drawings · Ability to pay close attention to detail Education, Certification/License & Work Experience · Associates Degree in Design Engineering, Design or related field · 1-2 years of related experience · CATIA experience strongly desired

101260 Junior Implementation Engineer - CADThis software start-up helps manufacturing companies reduce their COGS by providing cost management solutions. They are actively expanding their Professional Services organization to support our growing customer base. The IE is a key member of the team responsible for delivering solutions to clients. You will be responsible for understanding a customer's design and manufacturing environment, configuring and customizing the solution to support that environment, and helping to drive the system's adoption. Implementations generally last 8-12 weeks and require a combination of working at the customer facility and at corporate HQ in Massachusetts. 25 to 40% travel may be required. Additionally, IEs also help out in pre-sales situations with demonstrations and evaluations of the product. Qualifications: 1-3 years of experience in design engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, cost modeling, or consulting within these disciplines. B.S.
