Mixed Signal and DSP Applications EngineerLocation: US - Austin, TXRequisition ID: 712# of openings: 1------------DescriptionIntroduction:Cirrus Logic's Mixed Signal Audio Division is seeking highly skilled experienced Electrical Engineers with a specialization in mixed-signal audio and digital signal processing to join our team supporting our portfolio of mixed-signal audio and digital signal processing solutions and customers, developing technical product documentation, reference designs, and demonstration platforms for low-power and high performance data converter and signal processing IC's serving the portable, professional, and consumer audio markets.Description:As a Mixed-Signal Audio Applications Engineer, you will be an integral part of a core team of industry leading engineers engaged in the design and development of next generation audio IC products. You will provide direct support to our mixed-signal audio customers, develop application-targeted reference platforms, and author industry leading technical documentation. You will use your experience in mixed-signal and digital signal processing applications engineering to quickly come up to speed on our products and technologies and to inform your development efforts and customer interactions to achieve highly accurate and timely results. You will be required to travel approximately 2 5 weeks per year both domestically and abroad to provide in-person support to our key customers and design opportunities.Responsibilities: Develop reference designs and demonstration platforms for mixed-signal and digital signal processing audio products, including conceptualization, part selection, schematic entry, layout management, hardware validation, and release to production. Author and review technical documentation including application notes and product data sheets. Provide direct support for mixed-signal audio and digital signal processing products through e-mail, web-based and telephone communication, as well as in-person interaction with customers and field engineers to facilitate. Develop firmware modules to enable device evaluation platforms and facilitate the customer design-in process. Customize software modules and scripts to support specialized signal processing functions and efficient data extraction and transfer to customer systems. Collaborate with our marketing, systems, and design engineering teams to define our next generation audio products.Qualifications include: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong knowledge of and experience in analog and mixed signal system level design fundamentals. Strong knowledge of audio testing techniques and measurement equipment. Strong lab, problem solving, and system-level debugging skills. Demonstrable experience developing firmware targeted for C8051 architecture devices. Strong knowledge of digital audio signal processing, audio interface technologies and specifications. Proven experience taking projects from concept to completion. Meticulous attention to detail.Educational and Professional Requirements:Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and have 4+ years of experience in an engineering role supporting mixed-signal audio and/or digital audio signal processing products and customers.712

Job Summary The Application Engineer develops customer proposals and administers proposal and order activities for a designated region. Application Engineers support Field Sales efforts to develop customer preference for High Voltage Supply and Waukesha products. Responsibilities Develop highly competitive proposals for High Voltage Supply & Waukesha opportunities.Review requirements for technically HVS non-drawn components & HVS standard component needs directly with the customer to determine to meet customer needs.Application Engineers should understand customers organization and order decision process, including key decision maker(s). At least two years of progressively responsible application engineering experience, including in-field customer problem-solving, working with independent representatives, and relationship building. Solid understanding of WES, IEEE, NEMA, NEC, IEC, and ANSI standards for design of transformers and related equipment.
